All the reviews regarding value for money are true. Very overpriced. Hotel is seriously understaffed. Some room cleaning staff go out of their way and are overworked. Others leave the room poorly cleaned. Beach is not cleaned, full of cups and trash already in the morning. Florida state law prohibits smoking on beach but patrons freely smoke everything and staff don’t ask them to stop (not to mention chairs are tightly packed on beach so you get smoke in your face). Nothing planned for New Year’s - atmosphere dead. Looks like Marriott is ignoring the W brand. Definitely not cool anymore and is past its prime.
