By mistake, I booked a same-day reservation through Expedia. I clearly explained at check-in that the booking was made for later and asked how to handle it. The front desk staff told me to pay at the hotel and said Expedia would refund the reservation. Everything seemed fine until the next morning, when I went back to the front desk to ask about the Expedia refund. I was then told that the hotel does not allow cancellations within 24 hours — completely contradicting what I was told at check-in. This was misleading and extremely frustrating. Better communication and transparency are needed to avoid putting guests in this situation.

I hope senior Hilton management reviews this carefully, because what I experienced reflects a serious breakdown in cleanliness standards and guest care. *Note: I left a night early to move to another hotel. Cleanliness Concerns - Completely Unacceptable Upon entering the room, it became clear that housekeeping protocols were either ignored or severely rushed. In a single stay I found: Pubic hair in the shower - not one or two, but multiple. Even after I notified management the first night, housekeeping failed to clean the hair. Long, dark hair wrapped inside the bath towels as if it were sealed in during folding. Hair across the back of the sink, noticed while brushing my teeth. Nail trimmings on the floor, present even after housekeeping had tended to the room. This level of oversight is beyond concerning, it signals that rooms may not be inspected at all before guests check in. Cleanliness is one of the most fundamental expectations at any Hilton-branded property, and this room fell dramatically short. Other Issues Room Assignment: I checked in via the app specifically requesting a room away from the train side. Despite this, my room was changed, and when I arrived, the hotel was fully booked, leaving me stuck with the very room I was trying to avoid. Drafty Window: The window leaked so much cold air that I had to max out the heater just to stay comfortable and the temperature still struggled. Management Interaction: The Assistant Manager (Janyia) displayed an attitude that was surprisingly unprofessional for hospitality. Hilton Honors customer service reached out to her directly and was told housekeeping would address my issues immediately. I waited, only to discover that this was not true. When I called down for an ETA, I was told there was no housekeeping available at all. This kind of miscommunication, or misinformation is extremely disappointing and only made a bad situation worse. Final Thoughts: This stay did not reflect the Hilton standards I’m used to as a loyal guest. Cleanliness failures of this magnitude paired with dismissive service indicate deeper issues that require attention from senior management, not just front-line staff. I hope Hilton reviews these concerns seriously, because rooms in this condition simply should never be offered to paying guests.
