We had a pleasant stay at the elegant WestHouse hotel - the architecture was boutique, living up to the SLH brand. The staff was attentive and friendly. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a suite and the room was very spacious. For NYC, it might’ve been bigger than most apartments here. For the location, the room was quiet - no street noise was heard. 2 water cans were provided. The fitness center was well-equipped. We also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner amenities on the 23rd Floor. The food spread and quality were nice. The location couldn’t have been more ideal being in heart of Midtown. We had the perfect NYC itinerary, just short walks away to Central Park, Times Square, and Broadway. A few minor cons: 1. Lighting in the room was quite dim 2. No fan in the bathroom 3. Bathroom products were from Further - but I wish more luxury brands were used instead for a hotel of this caliber, like Byredo or Le Labo. 4. While I was not charged a resort fee due to this being an award stay, I think it would’ve been better the $55 fee was given as a tiered option, (for example, $25 automatically charged for using amenities and $30 add-on for food), especially since NYC had so many good food options.

Fabulous hotel in such an accessible area, the service and quality is exemplary and what a fantastic idea The Terrace is - offering breakfast and drinks plus food each evening as part of the usual hotel service charge. A shout out to Sonia - she is a total joy in The Terrace and such an asset to your team.

I stayed here for three days and the initial walk into the hotel is beautiful. The staff was friendly and quick to assist. The breakfast and dinner offered was delicious and the spread available was pretty nice. That being said, the purpose of the hotel visit, being somewhere to rest was not great. The room was a standard hotel room but the bathrooms were awful. The drain in the shower had drain flies/sewer flies every.where. They were crawling all over the shower. I asked for a room change. The staff was kind and quick about it. The second room ALSO had flies and this time they made their way into the room. I asked again on my last night to please move me. The staff apologized and were quick to move me. The third room again had them. At this point I had a 5 am flight so I stayed and left quickly. For the price I would prefer a clean solid room versus the amenities and food offered.
