Overall my experience was positive. My only issue was that I didn't have hot water for showering. I reported it to the front desk and they sent someone up right away. I was told to run the water for 5 to 7 minutes before using. However even with the engineer there, the water never got hot.

Extremely disappointing stay at The Westin Tysons Corner. During the shower the water doesn’t drain properly. The air conditioning didn’t work properly unless set to an uncomfortably low 67°F, To make matters worse, the in-room telephone was not connecting to front desk.During checkout, I informed the staff about these issues, but they didn’t seem apologetic at all. They simply said the telephone might have been busy. I had tried calling both from the room phone and my personal mobile, but no one ever answered — the line was clearly not working.For a hotel that claims to be four stars, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Totally unacceptable service and maintenance standards.

I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. 1. When I tried to check in with my child, both staff members were very rude. I was standing right in front of the female employee, but she greeted a guest walking in from the door instead and told me to ask another staff member for help. I’ve never felt so ignored and disrespected. The male employee wasn’t any better. He said he couldn’t find my reservation because I booked through another site and told me to wait somewhere until they called me, but I had to go back and ask again because no one followed up. 2. The blanket and pillow covers were torn, and it took almost 10 minutes for the hot water to come out. 3. The hotel wasn’t clean at all. There were glass pieces on the hallway floor, and the room was very dusty. My child scratched his neck and waist badly and ended up with scratches. I’m not sure why, but I wonder if it could be because of cockroaches like other reviews mentioned. Lastly, except for the female employee who helped with checkout on Sunday morning, the staff were really the worst. Our whole stay felt very unpleasant.
