Wingate by Wyndham Christiansburg

No hot water what so ever for 3 days and two nights stay . No drinking water to have with what they call a breakfast. Won't be going back

I woke up at 2 a.m. to use the bathroom and put on my phone flashlight and saw roaches crawling in n the nightstand, and then on the tv stand. It was clear this wasn’t just a new problem it was an infestation. I immediately started the search for a new hotel and luckily found one. So at 4 am I woke up my daughter and we got out as quickly as possible. As we were packing up to leave we found roaches crawling on the desk and our dogs cage as well. There was also a dead bug of some sort on my pillow case when I turned it over they did t appear to be a roach but some other kind of bug. As I type this I feel like bugs are crawling on me!!! When I went to tell the front desk and check out there was no one at the desk, but there was a guy who I had seen around the hotel that day, but he was dressed in street clothes so I thought he was maintenance ir a guest. He was making himself a bed on the couch in the front lobby. Full on pillows and blankets laying down to sleep. He sat up when he heard me so I asked him if he worked there. He answered yes. I told him I was checking out because there were roaches. He had to go get another person to check me out so I finished packing the car and when I went back to the desk there was a woman behind the desk. She handed me the receipt with her managers names on the top if I wanted to call them the next day. They charged me for one night stay because unfortunately I didn’t see the roaches until night 2. Who charges a customer when they have a roach problem which is a public health concern? The management refused to respond to he despite several attempts. I filed a dispute with my bank and the bbb but neither could get in contact with managent. I also submitted a complaint with Wyndham corporate and they said they couldn’t refund my money because each hotel is independently owned. They initially offered me 15,000 points, then upped it to 30,000. I didn’t want the points because I am turned off to staying at any Wyndham property in the foreseeable future. To me it’s like eating at a restaurant that is a franchise, seeing roaches crawling around in said restaurant. Would I be inclined to return to that franchise anywhere. Nope!!!

Great hotel! Very clean, quiet, great location. The rooms were cheaper than other hotels in the area. Breakfast was good and had some hot food items. We stayed here just passing through but would definitely return!
