I was apprehensive as i get lost on southbank boulevaurd driving wise, but parking was easy and my room was great, central to arts precinct, very reasonable but i think i got a good deal. Loved it

We were allocated a room on the second floor in a separate building, which did not require a key to access the level and had a different elevator. This made me feel very unsafe, especially as I had booked a six-night stay and was travelling alone with my daughter for the first time. Accessing the swimming pool was very inconvenient. We had to go down to reception and change elevators, and our key frequently did not work. Each time, we had to ask staff to activate a key for pool access. I had specifically requested a high-floor room, but was given a second-floor room instead. I understand that I booked a good-value deal; however, the room location, lack of secure access, and poor connection to hotel facilities were extremely disappointing—especially compared to the photos and descriptions shown at the time of booking. I raised my concerns with reception, but no one contacted me until the following day. By then, we had already unpacked, so I decided not to change rooms. I strongly believe the hotel should clearly state that rooms in this building do not have key-secured access, are not connected to the swimming pool, and require separate elevators. Unfortunately, the room also had an unpleasant smell, was not clean enough, and many insects entered from outside. This is the first time in my life I have written a negative review. I definitely will not be returning. I would rather pay a little more to stay somewhere safer and more comfortable.

Had a lovely one night stay with our kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. Received an upgrade to a city-view room which was greatly appreciated. The room was clean, well maintained and spacious. Small amenities such as coffee pods, tea and milk provided. We added breakfast, the serving sizes were very generous. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent. Only negative feedback is the hotel parking was expensive - $45 for one night. The carpark further down offers $20 per night.
