Wyndham Costa del Sol Cajamarca

Definitely the best Costa del Sol I've ever stayed at. My husband and I often travel to different cities in Peru and almost always stay at the Costa del Sol Wyndham chain, so we have several points of comparison. On this trip to Cajamarca, we were pleasantly surprised because the experience exceeded our expectations. Our check-in was at 2:00 p.m., but we arrived at the hotel quite early. From the very first moment, the service was excellent. At the front desk, Mr. Luis was extremely kind and very helpful with our luggage. At reception, we were assisted by Ms. María, who was also very friendly. She asked us where we were from, explained all the hotel's services, and was very attentive to detail. Even though we told her that we frequently stay at Costa del Sol hotels, she still took the time to explain everything to us very patiently. Another very nice touch is that they welcome you with two complimentary pisco sours, a detail that is always appreciated. Since we mentioned that we are frequent guests of the chain, they also gave us a room upgrade, which was a very pleasant surprise. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and very clean. It even had a jacuzzi, something we really weren't expecting and which made our stay even more special. The details, like the soaps and lotions, were also very well taken care of. The pool is large, clean, and well-maintained, allowing you to enjoy the space in peace and quiet. Another strong point of the hotel is the breakfast buffet, served in the Paprika Cajamarca restaurant. The space is spacious and very attractive, and the variety of food is quite good: plenty of fruit, breads, pastries, and different options to start the day right. I truly believe that the Costa del Sol in Cajamarca stands out from other hotels in the same chain in the country, both for its service and the quality of its facilities. I want to highlight once again the attention of Mr. Luis and Ms. María, because they are the people who make the guest experience even better. That kind of service makes all the difference. Without a doubt, if I return to Cajamarca, I would stay here again. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was a lovely family outing with a 6-year-old girl. The breakfast was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. We felt very comfortable, and it's located right on the square next to the cathedral.

Everything was fine except the fried pork was HORRIBLE; it looked burnt, the pieces were small and dry, and the potato stew was tasteless. They should improve it; it's overpriced for what it is.
