Wyndham Garden Hotel Austin

Good location off tge highway buy you do hear the road noise. Service was nice and they fo have a bar and restaurant. The room was clean but the bed was really squeaky.

Our stay at Wyndham Gardens did not feel like a vacation from the get go. The first night here, we approached the food bar and for 10 minutes the food attendants saw us sitting at the bar and continued to chat to others without coming to us and so we just left. The rooms were not cleaned very well, hair was on the ground and pictures on Google were misleading to how it was in actuality. The view outside our window was the shed, filled with grocery carts, office chairs, trash outside, and it was so much better to have the window curtains closed than open. We ordered room service to our room, took 15 minutes to order after being transferred multiple times to get in touch with the food downstairs because nobody was answering. When the front desk finally told them, and they answered the phone, we were told food would be delivered to our room in 20 minutes…….it took an hour. On top of that, the burger was inedible. The mushrooms were raw, burger was meat was burnt and was made without care. Thankfully we asked for a refund and received it from the restaurant. What sucks about talking to the front desk about this was they take no responsibility for the restaurant because it’s “separate” from the hotel or “third-party”. I thought a hotel manger would manage anything in the hotel but communication is clearly a core issue. I added an extra star because of Vanessa’s service at the front desk. Vanessa was very kind and we were grateful for the stay because if her. Other than that it was a 1 star and we will not find ourselves at this place again. I would HIGHLY recommend not to book here if you are looking for a restful stress free stay.

While the reception and people were very friendly and professional. The room felt outdated. The hand wash basin in our room was clogged.
