As a family with our 11-year-old child, we spent a few days at this hotel. Positive: The location is ideal – Wismar is just 10 minutes away, and a bus stop is right by the hotel. A shopping center is also within easy walking distance. We particularly enjoyed the pool and sauna. Criticisms: Unfortunately, there were significant shortcomings at breakfast (6:30–10:30 a.m.): Even shortly before 9:00 a.m., the buffet was barely replenished, which shouldn't happen in a 4-star hotel. The attention to detail was also lacking in the amenities: While our child received a bed and towels, the number of cups and glasses in the room was only sufficient for two people. Having to pay extra for the whirlpool and only receiving teacups at breakfast upon request also struck us as poorly serviced. Conclusion: Overall, a pleasant stay, but there's room for improvement in the service for a 4-star hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for four days over Christmas. The rooms are functionally furnished with carpeting, which might be important for allergy sufferers. There's a children's corner on the first floor and a fitness area on the second floor. The indoor pool is lovely, clean, and well-maintained. I can't comment on the sauna, as we didn't use it. The staff is truly wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Extra pillows and bathrobes were no problem at all. Up to that point, everything was great. One drawback was the really hard mattresses. However, we've had this problem in other hotels as well. A real disappointment was the dinner. We were given a 7:30 p.m. time slot, which was fine. Unfortunately, we then received what felt like the "leftovers." On December 24th, the buffet was practically depleted, although it was replenished later. The remaining food, leftovers from the previous 6:30 p.m. guests, wasn't piping hot anymore. There were no pepperoni sticks left at all. The herring salad, which was replenished later, was truly delicious. On December 25th, things weren't any better, quite the opposite. Again at 7:30 pm, the buffet was completely empty. They were supposed to have duck legs, and they did, but there weren't any left for us. They were all gone. As a substitute, they offered what I think was a frozen product: chicken stuffed with spinach, which was really not good. Even the mini dumplings, maybe ten of them, were by then mushy. The soup was very tasty, and the bread—there were always several varieties—was truly excellent. The breakfast buffet was quite good overall. The service staff was simply wonderful. Because of the evening buffets, we were given a small credit upon checkout.
