Wyndham Grand Busan Ijin

Excellent hotel and very pleasant and attentive service. We had two evenings at the hotel, in the Italian restaurant on the top floor and in the Japanese restaurant on the 6th floor, both great! I can only recommend it. I also had a great view from room 2006. The only minus, but important, is that you can't adjust the temperature in the room. During the day the room got hot and at night the temperature was 27 C! And it was not possible to ventilate or turn on the air conditioning. In the end, I had to ventilate through the front door at night. That was not comfortable at all.

The hotel is located by the sea and we had a wonderful view from our room. Everything was perfect, really: the service, the amenities, the dinners (we had excellent meals at the hotel's own Korean fine dining restaurant as well as at the Italian restaurant on the 27th floor). The service was very attentive! Unfortunately, the room temperature was 27.5°C and couldn't be lowered, as the air conditioning is deactivated in all rooms during the winter. During the day, when the sun is shining, the room heats up considerably, and there's no way to reduce the temperature. We ended up leaving the door to the hallway open at night and even during the day because of this! My colleague in the next room had the exact same problem. Our stay was at the beginning of January.

The hotel staff were very friendly and polite. English was easy to communicate with. I stayed for five days in December while exploring Busan. The location is a bit remote. I'd come back if I like a quiet sea view. The refrigerator is small and filled with snacks and drinks from the vending machine. It doesn't freeze much, which is a drawback. Also, the toilet button isn't on the wall, but on the side and back. The gray square button next to it, which looks like a flush button, is actually an emergency call button. I accidentally pressed it when I first entered the hotel, which scared me to death. The design is poor; there's no cover or red exclamation mark to prevent accidental activation. I've been to other five-star hotels where snacks are provided free of charge. This is the first time I've seen a vending machine take up all the refrigerator space—very strange (?). It was a bit of a nightmare. Hotels are supposed to be relaxing places. Those who have read my review probably won't be scared by the button anymore 🤣. The pool and gym have time restrictions, so it's basically difficult to use them. The gym has equipment where you can watch shows while running, and there's also an InBody fitness tracker. The hotel is close to the cable car over the sea, but I still took a taxi because my phone's navigation wasn't working well. I went to the wrong side. In short, you need to call a taxi for easy access. You need plenty of time to explore the area around the hotel before coming here. Additionally: No bags or humidifiers were provided.
