Update after my third or fourth stay, during which I was quite satisfied (see below for the original review). However, I am extremely disappointed with my current stay. I have a room with a large window facing the street. Normally a good thing. The problem is that at -6°C, the bathroom can't be heated. This means the bathroom is colder than the lobby (where the reception staff are already wearing thick jackets and hats). Not pleasant at all! The response from reception was: "Then you'll have to turn up the ventilation and leave the bathroom door open with a chair; then it will warm up in there." So I did, and did so while I was out. I set the ventilation to 28°C (for over 7.5 hours). The bathroom (and therefore the room with the bed) is now somewhat acceptable, although still very cold. The problem is that when the door is open, the motion sensor is triggered. Consequently, you have the bathroom light on while trying to sleep, until it eventually goes out. Reception's note: "Just pull the room key"... (which, by the way, doesn't need to be plugged in for the electricity to work). Meaning, the well-intentioned advice was rather useless, and the light stayed on. In addition, to keep the room warm, there's a constant humming and draft (partly from the air conditioning set to 28°C, and partly from the few degrees coming from the bathroom). The previous guests' dental floss was still hanging on the bathroom bin, and the towel had yellow stains. I've enjoyed staying here so far, but I'll be looking for another option in the future. Unfortunately, this has completely ruined my previous positive impressions. --------- Overall, it offers good value for money, but there's room for improvement in some areas. Cleanliness was okay. There was hair and quite a bit of lint/crumbs in the bed, on the bed frame, and on the mattress under the cover (which inevitably comes off when you try to remove the duvet tucked under the mattress). There was also an old sock under the mattress. Housekeeping could be a bit more attentive here; there are simple things that would immediately improve the overall impression. The room itself is well-furnished. However, stains on the floor and the worn and broken headboards detract from the otherwise positive impression.

I stayed at this property over the New Year's Eve period. Nothing to say. Compliments: close to the city center, accessible by public transport, and close to the museum area. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a great time. Booked immediately.
