XO Hotels Park West

This place is a great short stay location. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful offering help during check in and check out as well as luggage storage facilities after checkout. the rooms are clean and well equipped with shampoo, body wash, hand soap, coffee and tea facilities and an iron however no ironing board which would have been nice to have. The beds were comfortable however do get hot during the night due to the plastic protective cover on the mattress which blocks the breathability a mattress provides. Plenty of facilities in the hotel including multiple vending machines, coffee maker in the lobby and a breakfast restaurant. The hotel is also well placed, within a 10-15 minute walk to sloterdijk station which is only a 5 minute train to Amsterdam centraal. I would definitely recommend/stay here again! We stayed at this hotel for five days and read many of the reviews here – both the good and the bad. In the end, we still decided to stay here. Rooms: The rooms are very comfortable for the price. It's likely the hotel was previously part of a different operator. The bathroom is large and has a rain shower. There's plenty of closet space. The beds would be even nicer if they were double beds with a single mattress instead of two single beds, but that's nitpicking. Breakfast: We were pleasantly surprised. There's everything: scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, salads, juices, coffee, and hot chocolate. Most of it is convenience food, but it's good. There are also rolls, croissants, and pastries. At €20 per person, breakfast would have been a bit too expensive for us, but it was included in the winter package. Transportation: It's worth buying a 3-day public transport ticket. This allows you to travel anywhere in Amsterdam by tram. Line 19 departs directly in front of the hotel approximately every 12 minutes, and you can reach practically everything with it. There are snack vending machines in the hotel, but I recommend the Lidl around the corner – you can also buy drinks there in the evening. Staff: There is a self-check-in and check-out system, which we used. The staff is friendly.

It's a great location, especially if you have a Eurail Pass or an all-day tram pass. 900m from the train station. Amsterdam Central and Schiphol Airport are both 7 minutes away. There's a Jumbo supermarket right in front of the train station. There's a Lidl just 250m away. There are three Albert Heinz supermarkets within an 800m radius. For 100,000 won per night, the facilities are spacious and the bathrooms are spacious. The room was comfortable, but there were some minor issues with the cleanliness (this hotel has carpets, so that's limited) and the bedding, including stains. However, I didn't bother asking for a change. The staff were friendly, so these issues were minor. Would stay here again
