Zante Pantheon Hotel

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel because we liked what we saw online. Nothing could be further from the truth. We had an early flight from the Netherlands and arrived early in the morning. The owner gave us a friendly welcome and let us relax by the pool until our room was ready (we were offered a nice orange juice because we were thirsty). The hotel is beautifully located, a 10-minute walk from the strip, and it's nice and quiet without any disturbances. Check-in was at 2:00 PM, but we were informed promptly at 11:00 AM that our room was ready. The room was excellent. It was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The friendly housekeeping staff came every day and refreshed the room with fresh towels. Nothing to complain about! The sunbeds by the pool are high-quality, and the pool is large and clean. You can enjoy delicious food and drinks on the terrace (with pleasant background music). The food is fantastic, and the portions are large for a low price! The breakfast was also excellent. I find it ridiculous that people who say it's poor. Just the way a good breakfast should be. From rolls with a wide variety of fillings to English breakfasts with eggs, bacon, and beans, yogurt, and fruit, along with a variety of cold juices. The young lady who works incredibly hard cleaning and preparing breakfast is also sweet, hardworking, and makes sure everything is perfect! Dimitri, who runs it, certainly enjoys a good joke and is very hospitable. He even gave us delicious pancakes and a farewell drink. Thanks, Dimitri! :D It's a family hotel, and it all comes down to how you behave; what you give is what you get. ;) The young guys who serve are incredibly polite and respectful. Many young people could learn from them! They made our holiday unforgettable. Lovely people, and we will definitely be back!! Excellent service, fantastic holiday! Thanks everyone!

Disappointing, grumpy owners, especially the lady. Wouldn't go there again. The text/photos on the website are unrealistic. "Hospitable"... didn't really feel that way. Breakfast is the same every day. No, "too bad."

This is a 3 star rated Hotel openly struggling to get a 4 star rating. We know this because the owner told us explaining he was hampered in his plans by local government taxes. We found it to be a clean place with an out of town location 20 minutes from Tsillivi beach. Having a car would be good because the walk is up and down a hill on a winding road with a lot of traffic but no footway. It was the end of the season which might explain why the family running the place appeared to have had enough of guests and on a couple of occasions were quite unfriendly towards us. Our 'deluxe' room lacked some basics such as glasses, somewhere to hang damp clothes, etc ...
