What to expect

Open to all levels of experience! I’ll guide you on a leisurely tour where we’ll learn how to identify various bird species, why they are important to our ecosystem, how intelligent they are, and many other fun facts! My hope is to inspire you to appreciate the wonder and beauty of our feathered friends. Expect to walk about 1.5 miles on flat gravel or paved trails at a local park. Depending on the season, we will see at least 5-20 different bird species. We will use our eyes and ears to observe birds, scanning the sky, trees, and ponds. I'll provide everyone with a pair of binoculars, including a brief intro of how to use them. I promise that seeing birds close up will change your perspective of how stunning they are. Bird-watching is a wonderful mindfulness practice. It has several mental health benefits, including lowering stress hormones, heart rate, and mental fatigue. I hope you leave our bird outing rejuvenated, relaxed, and lighter in spirit!
