What to expect
Barrio Del Albaicin
We will begin with a basic overview of the area's history from a nice viewpoint with a positive energy, dynamic and charismatic tour guide with an extensive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm, pointing out the many landmarks and hidden gems that make these neighborhoods so special. Then, as we walk through the Albaicín and the charming cobblestone streets, we will be showing you the best off the beaten path views of the Alhambra while we talk about the Arabic culture who lived on this ancient quarter (customs, religion, way of living) and why Granada became such an important city. Once we reach the top, we will rest in a mosque with Sierra Nevada in the background, explaining the importance of thea in the Arabic culture while we drink a refreshing tea with baklavas.
Sacromonte
Once we just rest, we will visit the non-touristy parts of Sacromonte's neighborhood while we talk about why it is considered as the cradle of the Flamenco and also how it became the gypsy quarter.
Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte
Last but not least we will visit the Cave Museum of Sacromonte: Home of gypsies and flamenco. Ten caves have been recreated as they were a hundred years ago, so visitors can learn about the customs, history, and evolution of the Sacromonte and its inhabitants.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
