    This was a fun experience although fairly short. The trek was very nice and scenic. We did expect for this to be a full pesto and pasta class however it just a pesto sauce making class where we were given very delicious bread to eat it with. We did get a message on WhatsApp the day before with more information and guidance on how to get there. Andrea was helpful during the meeting time and helped us find the bus we needed to take to meet him. Andrea was very funny and kind.

    We would 100% recommend this tour. The guides were friendly and very knowledgeable since they also worked at the vineyard. It all felt very familiar. The view from the area was one of the best ones we saw in Chinque Terre. We would also recommend hiking back to Manarola if you get the chance!

    We had an absolutely fantastic experience at BarCa Winery! Booking and communicating with them was incredibly easy. Andrea was exceptionally accommodating when we needed to change our date and even came to assist us in finding a parking spot on the street. The pesto class was both instructive and enjoyable, and the final result was absolutely delicious. We also had some fresh focaccia made by his friend, which was a delightful addition. The wines were phenomenal, truly showcasing the quality of Andrea's family's winemaking tradition. The view from the winery was breathtaking. We had a private tour with our group of friends and enjoyed watching the sunset from the patio at the top of the hill. It was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend BarCa Winery and will definitely return on my next visit to Cinque Terre.

    What to expect

    Cinque Terre

    I will wait for you at the entrance to the town of Volastra to accompany you on a visit to our cellar where we will explain the main winemaking processes, our history and the origins of Cinqueterre wine. We will explain the differences from a production point of view in the making of our different types of wine: BarCa Cinqueterre doc", sea wine that fully represents the Cinqueterre, "Memento" wine, macerated wine that comes from a selection of our oldest vineyards and "Rosaluna" wine, rosé wine. After the visit to the cellar, you will be accompanied on a tour of the vineyards along the Manarola-Volastra path. In the vineyard we will explain the different differences between the three grape varieties of the Cinqueterre: Bosco, Arbarola and Vermentino. Then we will taste the three types of wine: BarCa Cinqueterre DOC, Memento white wine and Rosaluna rosé wine directly in the vineyard, a unique and unmissable experience to enter and learn about the world of wine.
