What to expect
Charlottenburg Palace
Approximately 30 minutes to our first stop. Our first stop is Charlottenburg Palace built in the 17th century as the summer residence for Queen Sophia Charlotte of Prussia. We admire richly decorated rooms in the baroque style filled with luxurious furniture and lavish interiors. The porcelain room is going to amaze you!
Neues Palais
Around 11 we will continue to our second stop. We will travel to Potsdam, the former residence of kings and emperors. Our first point will be the gigantic New Palace - the last great architectural work promoted by the Prussian king Frederick the Great. Built at the end of the Seven Years' War, it was intended to confirm the importance of Prussia as a European power
Sanssouci Palace
Afterwards we will go to the most splendid thing in Potsdam - the summer palace of King Frederick the Great - Sanssouci. It is there where "Old Fritz" received the eminent philosophers of the Enlightenment era such as Voltaire and the encyclopedist D'Alembert.
Dutch Quarter
Taking advantage of the beautiful landscapes, we will walk through the beautiful gardens and parks to reach the Brandenburg Gate - located in the historic center of Potsdam. From this moment we will have a 1-hour break, where you can go to eat, take photographs and visit the picturesque Dutch neighborhood.
Cecilienhof
We will go to the last point of the route, the Cecilienhof Palace, which will take approximately 30 minutes. It is there where three world powers met after World War II to define the destiny of Germany. During the panoramic tour of the outside we will discuss the details of the conference, the big three headed by Winston Churchill, Harry Truman and Jose Stalin.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
