This private Luxury Gourmet Shore Excursion starts directly in front of the cruise terminal. Your driver will meet you at the port and bring you to Berlin in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle.
In Berlin the tour begins at the regal Charlottenburg Palace where you will be joined by one of our professional local guides and taken on a tour of this fascinating city.
Kurfurstendamm
We will then head to visit the famous shopping boulevard of West Berlin, the Kurfürstendamm. Here you will be given free time to lose yourself in the world of exclusive boutiques such as: Rolex, Cartier, Channel, Gucci, Louis Vitton, Burberry, Prada or Hermes.
Next up we will drive past the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche, a bombed out church from WWII, on our way to the largest and most luxurious department store in continental Europe - the KaDeWe. Restaurant Tim Raue
For lunch you will have a choice between two of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants: The first option is the 2 Michelin Star restaurant “Tim Raue”. Tim Raue is Berlin’s most famous chef, who recently became an international celebrity via his appearance on Netflix’s “Chef’s Table”. His flagship restaurant is featured in the official list of “World’s 50 Best Restaurants”.
Käfer
The second option is the restaurant Käfer. It is a German fine dining restaurant in a most incredible location – the rooftop of the Parliament’s building – the Reichstag. Enjoy the exquisite 4-course menu whilst marveling at one of the best views the city has to offer.
After lunch you will be treated to a magnificent dessert. To satisfy your sweet tooth we have arranged a chocolate tasting at the finest high-end German chocolatier in Berlin – Rausch. The sampling includes pralines, truffles as well as the finest chocolates from around the world- all hand made locally in Berlin.
Galeries Lafayette Berlin
At around this time you might be feeling a little thirsty which we will remedy by taking you to a private wine tasting of some wonderful German and European wines. After the sampling the tour proceeds up Berlin’s other famous shopping boulevard – Friedrichstrasse - to the renowned Parisian department store - the Gallery Lafayette.
Prenzlauer Berg
Before heading back to your ship we still have one last hidden gem to share with you - Werkstatt der Süß0 located in the beautiful residential neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg. Here the patissier Guido Fuhrmann has been lauded nationally and internationally for his delectable dessert creations. After one last coffee and cake you will be whisked contentedly back to your ship in the comfort of our modern fleet of vehicles.
