Your Itinerary

Fataga

Start your journey with a photo stop of Fataga Valley and a visit to Tunte, where you'll find the Casa Los Yánez Ethnographic Museum. Admission is free, and customers can explore how the Canarians lived.

Tejeda

Next stop is Tejeda, a charming village located in the interior of the island of Gran Canaria, situated at an altitude of about 1,000 meters above sea level. It can be said that it is practically in the center of the island. Nowadays, it belongs to the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain. The village is surrounded by mountains, and its whitewashed houses of traditional architecture are beautiful. It also offers views mainly to the Roque Bentayga, but also to the Roque Nublo from some parts of the village, considered one of the largest natural crags in the world. Of special significance for the islanders, this volcanic rock rises eighty meters above its base and 1,813 meters above sea level. A former place of worship for the aborigines, the whole area around it was declared a protected natural area in 1987 and a rural park seven years later. All this landscape is part of the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria, a World Heritage Site.

Valleseco

Discover the local cuisine in Valleseco, where a delicious lunch will be offered. Located in a beautiful natural viewpoint overlooking the neighboring municipality of Teror and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, this restaurant has been open to the public since 1960 when it was also a guesthouse. It is run by a family that is fully dedicated to offering the best of Canarian cuisine to all its customers. In addition, you can enjoy wonderful views during lunch.

Teror

Last stop of the journey: The municipality of Teror is located in the interior of the island of Gran Canaria. Its old town, the village of Teror, is one of the most beautiful in Gran Canaria. In Teror, you can mainly visit the old town where you will find its mythical pedestrian streets, the Basilica, and the Plaza del Pino. While exploring Teror, you'll admire the Basilica del Pino from the outside, as access to the interior is not possible. It is located in the main square of the town, the Plaza del Pino. In addition to the square, the church is surrounded by pedestrian streets and beautiful Canarian houses with their traditional balconies. The village of Teror has many pedestrian and cobbled streets, making it charming to explore on foot. One of the main streets is characterized by houses with Canarian balconies, but in general, they are all over the center of the village.
