Thanks to its elevated position, Fiesole has always been one of the most popular places for Florentines and tourists to enjoy the view over Florence and the Arno valley, but also to look out over the wonderful Tuscan countryside that surrounds the village. Fiesole is only 4 miles away from the center of Florence but outside the city, making it the best starting point to really explore the Tuscan countryside without going too far from the town but away from crowded places.
Florence
The hilltop town of Fiesole has panoramic views of Florence away from the crowds. The Renaissance City and all her vibrant terracotta rooftops and towers are as visible atop Fiesole, as they are if you were standing at Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence itself, only with far fewer people admiring her gorgeous view.
Tuscany
Fiesole, located on a hilltop offering a very scenic view of Tuscany countryside as well as just being just a 20 minute bus ride from Florence's center.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO RIDE CONFIDENDLY A BIKE, AND TO BE IN GOOD HEALTH.
Participants, especially the youngest ones, are required to conduct a safe bike driving and keep a perfect balance on their bike, and they must be able to ride on public roads, on secondary paved roads which are not always in perfect conditions, on downhill roads that can be steep at times.
A minimum of 2 participants (excluding the tour leader) is required. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough participants. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

We recommend wearing cycling shorts
The connection between Fiesole and the center of Florence is very convenient, even by public bus. 7 days a week the bus (number 7, Autolinee Toscane - AT), price € 1.70, leaves every 20 minutes and reaches the other location in 20 minutes (last ride from Fiesole to Florence is at 01:00am). The terminal bus address in Florence is Largo Alinari, next the Santa Maria Novella (SMN) Train Station, 650m / 2100ft distance from the Duomo. The Fiesole stop is the last on the bus route. I will tell you the bus schedule the day before the tour. All itineraries are scheduled according to public transport timetables. Tickets are sold by "bar-tabacchi", newsstand or at the automatic ticket machine for buses to the Santa Maria Novella railway station. I recommend purchasing your ticket the day before. Tickets MUST BE VALIDATED ONCE BOARDED.

We did the half day (afternoon) bike tour , incl food&wine tasting. An absolute top experience thanks to the incredibly nice, responsible, and knowledgeable guide Giovanni ! He let you enjoy and feel comfortable and safe every minute of the tour while providing as well top class ebikes and material. While living in Fiesole his whole live, Giovanni knows the whole area inside out, and has those interesting stories to tell on all different villages and places visited during the tour. Last but not least, a really fantastic food & wine tasting is offered towards the end of the tour. We enjoyed every single minute soo much, it was the absolute top experience of our visit to Firenze area.

WOW! This was truly one of the highlights of our entire 2 week trip to Italy! Giovanni was our owner/guide and he was amazing, helpful, fun, informative. I almost cancelled thinking it wouldn't be something special and I'm so glad I didn't. Getting out of the city was such a nice break. The countryside is beautiful. Lunch eating some local charcuterie, wine and olive oil was a perfect break. It's not a scooter you are on so you will have to pedal and it is a bit of a workout, but the motor assists you and you can cover a lot of ground. If we get back to Firenze we will definitely look Giovanni up again for another ride. Grazie mille!

Best day ever! Giovanni was thoughtful, interesting, and patient with our family. He taught us about the history of Florence and Tuscany, showed us how to navigate safely through the streets, and took us to some of his favorite hidden gems. He was so kind and we loved spending the day with him. A beautiful way to see Tuscany with a wonderful guide 🫶🇮🇹

Fantastic tour from a local - born and bred in the region. Just sharing his passion of his locality. Great insight into the reality of the artists in the area. Be warned, you will be saddle sore if you have not cycled in a long time. This is not for the faint hearted. However, I loved it, esp the farm visit. Very authentic tour. God speed and enjoy x

Giovanini runs an excellent tour on really nice, comfortable e-bikes.
It pays to follow his pre ride instructions. Validate your ticket on the bus ride up and have some lunch before you leave. Our tour met at 12 and we all had a quick safety ride so Giovanni could check seat height and evaluate the riders. And then we were off. After the hustle and heat in Florence, this was stunning. Gentle climbs, quiet roads and stunning scenery. We finished with a really nice afternoon meal with a glass or 2 of wine to fortify us then downhill back to base.
I ride a lot and my wife is more tentative and we both had a wonderful afternoon

Giovanni was awesome. He took time to ensure we were comfortable with the bikes before we ventured out in the Tuscan countryside. He shared bits about the local/ancient history, culture and agriculture while we comfortably explored on e-bikes the hills in a small group (3) on back roads to the high point, the monastery. We were treated to wine, olive oil, bread and farm fresh produce from the area. Leaving Florence for a relaxing day in the hills in Tuscany was a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of Florence. We loved our trip.
