Went with a small group of 4 including my wife and my parents and myself. We were a little concerned at first because we weren't sure if the parents could handle it at their age. (Ages 66 and 71). All 4 of us had never repelled before, and while the wifey and I do exercise regularly, parents activity levels were on the lower end of the spectrum. In fact, aside from just age, our 71 year old (which is how i'm gonna refer to him for the rest of this review) also has an extremely low fitness level overall... which I actually did not know myself when I booked this originally. So our guide, Michelle, had to take all of that into account --- and she did it perfectly. She was able to get everyone up the trail and down the cliffs, showed us lots of points of interest we would have missed on our own, she was great at teaching us what we had to do to repel properly and keep our nerves down and she was able to set a slow pace for us to make sure every one had a chance to catch their breath and stay hydrated. In the end, repelling off all of the cliffs -- particularly that 120 ft cliff -- is gonna be an amazing memory for all of us forever. My mom is already bragging to her siblings about how she can do something like that. I got all of it on video so she can show that off too. Not only was this an amazing life experience for myself, but I am so grateful that my mom was able to do this with us too. There are not enough opportunities to do something like this together. My family not only impressed me, but I think they impressed themselves and all of us had an amazing time. This has easily been one of the highlights of our entire trip to Moab, if not the greatest highlight. I can not recommend this more highly, especially for first timers. Thank you Michelle for an incredible experience. I'm pretty sure we will all do some more canyoneering again in the future.

Phenomenal experience with professional, courteous guides that are fun to be around. This is the second I have gone with Clapper and wouldn't use anyone else. The attention to detail and safety is clear and even more evident that I've learned more about Cayoneering...no corners cut while still providing a great experience.

Canyoneering is a must do! I took eight 15-year old boys and all of them LOVED it. The guides were professional and safety as priority. They were friendly and encouraged the boy's if needed. Highly recommend adding canyoneering in your activity for the day.

Chad was a great guide. He made sure everyone was okay and having fun and staying safe. We would definitely like to do another trip with Chad. He also gave us an introduction to all the safety gear we used.

Chad was a great guide. Explained thoroughly and was very patient as we learned and become comfortable. Even with my fear of heights I was able to do this and learned to ‘trust the rope’ and ‘trust the process.’ A definite must-do!

Rapelling right next to Morning Glory Arch was incredible. Lots of plants an formations to view. Chad was an incredible guide.

My husband and I took our four kids (ages ranging 8-13) on this canyoneering experience and it was so beautiful, informative and appropriately challenging for our active family. Chad was amazing as he calming and expertly guided everyone through the adventure. He was adept at coaching both kids who were after it and who were more reticent. It was a blast! Highly recommend.

Clapper review We had such an amazing experience with Even Clapper and his crew of guides. There was a group of about 25 of us (on a work trip) and we split up into 3 different groups based on the experience that we wanted to have. All of our teams had the most amazing time and consider our half day trip to be a bucket list item. Our group had 6 climbers plus our guide, David David David. When David David David introduced himself to us he said his name three times repeatedly so we would not forget it and we appeased by calling his name 3 times when we needed to grab his attention. David was the right amount of humor to ease our nerves group with the perfect amount of seriousness to let you know that safety was still his main priority. David was filled with knowledge about the area along stories that really kept our group engaged. In David’s off seasons he spends his time traveling and rock climbing around the world. His passion for the environment and what he does for both his job and his hobby really comes through as he leads groups. At the beginning of the hike we jokingly asked David if he ever had people who won’t rappel once he gets to the top and he explained that although it happens on occasion, more often he has people that he has to coach through the process and talk them through their fears. Although our team was relatively fit, in shape and eager for the experience of canyoneering, there were several us us who had major nerve as we approached that first drop and were visibly nervous. We joked later that half of David’s job description should be “shrink” as he talked each of us through the process and helped us feel comfortable with walking backwards off a cliff (lol!) I laughed with others in the group that Clapper should charge more because this was as much a self learning and betterment exercise as it was a hike and canyoneering experience As we were hiking up (at a pretty good clip) we had a group of about 10 people pass us at almost a slow jog carrying their harnesses and helmets in their hand. We all commented about how glad we were to be with our guid David and not the shotty group that passed us. When we had arrived by van at the bottom of our hike, David pulled out a bin that had a backpack for each of us with our helmet, harness, gloves and several bottles of water. We all noticed how the other group seemed so unorganized… about 15 minutes after they passed us, we found a harness laying on the trail that had obviously been dropped by this other group. It drew a stark contrast between Clapper and the other guides that you might find out there. (We picked up the harness and we’re able to get it to the other group when they turned back and we ran into them 20 mins later) I know that this post is long, thank you for getting this far, but I feel so strongly about Clapper that I wanted to share the specifics as to why I give them a 5 star review. This was a trip with my sister and her work crew but I cannot wait to bring my husband and son back to Moab and share this experience with them.

Evan was a great guide, super patient with our group and had tons of information on the area. I will be booking another trip with him on our next visit. I have been visiting Moab since 1990 and this was one of the best days I had there.
