The day we were scheduled to do the Shipwreck kayak tour the water was choppy with huge waves. Zach, our guide, suggested we reschedule for a day later in the week. We came back a couple days later and the weather was absolutely perfect-a calm autumn morning with no wind and a beautiful blanket of fog on the horizon. Because it was later in the season, my husband and I were the only two on the tour along with Zach, our guide. Zach was excellent - very personable, down to earth and informative, describing the history of the area. We were able to view the shipwreck as well as native American inscriptions along the bluffs. I would highly recommend Zach for the Door County Kayak tour and would not hesitate to take this tour on our next trip to Door County! This tour is appropriate for all levels of experience including beginners.

Despite the cool day and cold water, we had a great time! The water was a little too rough to get close to the caves, but it was still a great experience. Our guide was attentive and friendly.

My husband is nursing an injury, so I wanted to find some activities I could do solo. It was a easy booking, check in, kayak and overall experience. Nice to go out with a group. Lake MI is beautiful. I appreciated they had changing rooms at the office. Emily was a great guide! I recommend checking them out. They are actually located in Jackson Port, trip advisor says sturgeon bay!

Weather stopped us from going, but they reimbursed us. I really appreciated that! We were staying 40 minutes away and cell service was weak so I wasn’t able to contact them until the storms ended near me.

Very fun kayak tour with Anders! My hubby and adult children have all kayaked before but it was my first time. Will definitely do it again. Appreciated Anders’ instruction and patience.

Started off on a bad note. The address they gave us was to the wrong place. The workers there said they’ve notified the owner several times but he won’t change it. We eventually made it to the right place. They said to get there 20 minutes early. Well we stood around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come to the desk to check us in. Then we left 20 minutes late as part of the group decided to be late. Once on the water it was pretty good. We loved our guide Mikayla! We were disappointed at how little there was to look at with the caves, but it was perfect weather for kayaking so we were just glad to be out on the water. Overall, not impressed at all with the business, but great guides!

Awful After booking the tour I almost immediately received and email saying that the tour would be beginning about 30 minutes late. I thought whatever good think I didint plan anything around it, the next day we arrived 30 minutes early as suggested, we waited for about 40 minutes before they finally showed up, the girl informed us that since Lake Michigan was so choppy we would be going to an inland lake and also on a hike, an email or a message would have been nice in advance instead of finding out there, and also majority of the group was wearing flip flops, not very ideal for a hike, but since we were already there we just decided to follow her to the inland lake, when we arrived she handed out life jackets and gave a short 1 minute instruction on how to use a kayak paddle, during the minute I was still trying to put on my life jacket and missed the whole thing, luckily I’m from mn and have been kayaking at home. The actual kayak part wasn’t bad, it was just kayaking on a lake, nothing too special about it. And as for the hike we never went on one. I understand adapting to weather conditions but a nice heads up would have been nice before playing for a kayak shipwreck tour on Lake Michigan and getting a kayaking. This is my first time writing a poor review ever… This is the only situation I have ever been in where i felt I actually had to write a bad review to warn people, kinda feel like I got scammed.

We had such a great time kayaking on Lake Michigan with Door County Kayak Tours! Evan was so much fun and very knowledgeable. He took the time to get to know everyone in our tour.

We had a great 2 hour kayak tour which included see some caves on Lake Michigan. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. The tour was just the right amount of time for us inexperienced kayakers.

There was very little of a “Tour” in Cave Point Kayak Tour, more like supervised rental but it was a fun activity nevertheless. The weather was nice, the coastline is beautiful, the logistics are well thought of. We were able to go to the cave and get close to the shore. There was very little waiting and everything was moving very smoothly.
