Beautiful house and grounds rich with history. Ann was very knowledgeable and led a great tour. Also liked being able to tour the whole house and then grounds at our own speed.

What a great tour. Very informative and historical. The tour was just a little over an hour and then you had time on your own to explore the grounds and buildings. Our tour guide Beverly made the tour. She was so entertaining and knew her history. She took the time to take photos with us at the end. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour guide and beautiful plantation! We loved it and so did our kids. Would highly recommend

Our tour guide was excellent! They aren't allowed to talk about ghosts but I had to ask because we walked into the children's bedroom and it was colder than the rest of the rooms in the house. As soon as my stepdaughter said she didn't like the porcelain doll on the bed the light in the bedroom starting flickering like crazy. Overall it was a very good tour.

One must revisit this part of history painful as it is but still worth honoring the lives who died in these plantations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Destrehan House with our tour guide Jim. He was a former educator and his skills in explaining the history of the house were detailed and very interesting. He made it fun and interesting and really went into the slave historical aspect of the plantation which we found other places conveniently avoided or glossed over. Fascinating history here so make sure you add it as one of your stops and hopefully you'll get Jim as your guide!
