You will visit the apple orchards, the farmhouse presses/stores, the cider-making areas, the cellars and, naturally, you taste natural home-made cider as we Basques make it: in the bottle and through the ritual called "Txotx".

We got picked up promptly at 12 by Maia and she was such a wonderful guide, the cider house experience was fascinating and the whole process was really interesting. The cider itself was wonderful and it was great to try all of the different barrels, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent, all of the food piping hot and delicious. Really couldn’t have gone any better, my husband and I loved it. Thanks for looking after us.

This was a great day! I would highly recommend signing up. Miya was an incredible guide, multitasking between English and French and basque all day to communicate with the group. The cider house tour itself was very interesting and cool to see, it is family run and has been producing cider for the last 3 generations. Lunch provided was fantastic, we enjoyed the cod omelette, filet of cod, the best steak we have ever had in our lives, and some cookies and nuts and cheese for dessert. The cider is all you can drink and you are allowed to go to the cider room to pour your own. Such a fun day and would absolutely encourage everyone to visit!

We had a great experience with Maddalen as our guide. She picked us up and dropped us off right in San Sebastián and it was obvious to see the pride she has for her region. She gave a thorough and very fun tour of the cider house called Saizar. I can't recommend this place enough. The cider was outstanding and the food was so delicious. The love and care that goes into this process is truly unreal. It was very special to be able to take part in a tradition that dates back so many centuries.

A last minute booking and I am so glad I did this! The tour was by the wonderful Mya who took us around the Saizar cider house. Full of knowledge and able to explain the process really well. The self pouring of cider was brilliant and the sit down meal was delicious.
Eating and drinking with strangers from around the world but they didn’t feel like strangers once the cider flowed!

We had a fabulous experience from the moment we were picked up! Our guide was brilliant and engaging. The cider house tour was interesting and we got to do the cider pour! The meal was delicious and you can drink as much cider as you can manage. We are a family with young kids and they do kids menu and also have vegan options on the menu. Highly recommend
