    The Alhambra, tour guide, and bus driver were all great. What made the trip bad was the following: I reserved my spot on Viator and received a confirmation; they charged my credit card. To my surprise, I had to call within 48 hours before the tour to confirm that I was going, which I didn't do. When I questioned them, they said that this tour is in high demand. My reply was that I had reserved, received a confirmation, and paid with my credit card. My two seats should have been booked for me regardless, but I think they wanted to double dip. The sad thing is that when I called Viator, they washed their hands of helping me. By the way, this was my 7th trip booked through Viator. I guess they lost my business forever. Note that they also declined to apply the rewards towards the trip. Regards,

    History was so amazing! Fascinating facts of Moors, sultans, and royal families. Michelle was so knowledgeable and great at switching from English to Spanish to German languages.

    Didn’t go as was told by tour guide at pickup point I wouldn’t get in without ID. I had been to Gibraltar so took my passport but didn’t expect to require ID within in Spain

    The Alhambra

    The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, was built in the 13th century. It is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and it is the most renowned building of the Andalusian Islamic historical legacy. Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, demolished part of the architectural complex to build the Palace which bears his name in the 16th century.

    Generalife

    The Generalife is a garden area attached to the Alhambra which became a place of recreation and rest for the Granada Muslim kings. The Generalife gardens are also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

    After the Alhambra visit, discover from the hand of your guide the beautiful historic center of Granada. Before returning, you will also have free time to scroll around its streets.
