Yes, it was a long bus ride from the time we were picked up, then picked others up along the way to Gibraltar. We were prepared for this based on other reviews. The only difficult part for us was the lack of access to bathroom facilities during the long bus ride. Janet was our tour guide and did a great job of prepping us for the border crossing/customs into Gibraltar. We had free time in the town and were able to do shopping and have lunch on our own. We, then, met back up with Janet to be assigned to smaller vans with a different tour guide to take us up to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar -- giving us history of Gibraltar, to see St. Michael's Cave and (our favorite) to be up close with the Barbary macaques in the Nature Reserve. We then met Janet back with our big bus to reverse the process -- go back through customs, drop others off and ultimately take us back to our origination point. It was a long day, but a wonderful experience!

As others have mentioned, very long journey which may be of interest-3 hrs there and 3 hrs back. Promised 30 minutes at cave, were given 20 minutes, and 10 minutes with monkeys - saw 1 monkey eating a carrot. Town is a tourist trap. So knowing all of this before going, I still wanted to see St. Michael’s cave and loved it. All quite disorganized, so pack your patience.

We loved it when we got to Gibraltar but the bus trip was very long due to having multiple stops to pick up other passengers, we were aware of this but didn’t realise it would take quite so long . Took 4 hours to get there from the first pick up. However Janet was very informative on the way and our bus driver up the Rock was fantastic! Definitely worth doing but it does take the whole day!

it was a great trip and we got to see most of gibraltar. Finding the bus at the start of the day is not as easy as it sounds, but the trip itself was great.

Sorry to say that this trip didn’t live up to what was promised. Very short stops in the cave and with monkeys. Not enough time in town either. Advertisement said 2 hours we only had a bit more than 1 hour. So I am really disappointed. It was a nice trip from Malaga along the coast though and tour guide in Gibraltar was interesting to listen to.

Everything was good. The smallbus driver in Gibraltar - excellent! Quite a lit of time list both ways while the big bus has to pick up and let out people from all the hotels in Costa del Sol

The drive down and back was nice as we've never been in this area before. Did pick up passengers along the way, which we did read in past reviews. The caves were nice. It would have been nice to explore the rock more and maybe not so much time in the city for shopping.

The most disappointing tour ever. We were picked up in Malaga at 7am and then spent at least 2 hours picking up people from hotels along the Costa del Sol. We finally arrived in Gibralter at 10.45am. We got off the bus into a sea of humanity trying to cross the border. This took 1 hour. We missed doing the tour at 11. We then had limited time for lunch and literally raced down the main street afterwards. When we got back to the bus depot for our tour, we were again herded to the 2nd floor of the carpark into another ocean of hundreds of people. We were finally loaded on our van. This was the best part of the day and our guide was great. When we got back, it was back on the bus for another 3 hours of winding our way through the Costa del Sol before we finally arrived back at 7pm. A 12 hour day of mostly sitting on a bus. We paid for a trip from Malaga to Gibralter, not a tour through the hotel pick ups. Would not recommend

Great trip! The bus was very comfortable, the guide knowledgeable and St. Michael's Cave was very impressive. For those who like to go shopping, there are enough stores around.

Really nice 3 hr drive to Gibraltar, Annabelle gave some useful information about the areas we passed through. It was Louis our driver from Persian Rose that was the awesome star of this tour.. He made the tour fun with plenty of whitty banter interspersed with solid "need-to-know" information. Booked this tour through Viator. There was plenty of confusion to to the pick up point. I had to What'sApp several times, finally getting solid pictures of the actual bus stop. And there were several other tour pickups going on, so a person basically had to ask each tour bus that pulled up in a 45 minute window to make sure you got the right bus. Not to mention it was pouring rain.
