What to expect
Seville
We will leave from the agreed meeting point and head to Carmona.
Roman Necropolis
We will visit the Roman Necropolis of Carmona, one of the most important in the Iberian Peninsula. And from its terrace we will see the Roman Amphitheatre of Carmona, for now, the oldest in Hispania.
Alcazar de la Puerta de Sevilla
We will visit the main military monument of the city, and one of the oldest in Spain. With about 30 centuries of history, and remains of Carthaginians, Romans, Muslims and Christians. And great views too!
Iglesia de Santa Maria de la Asuncion
We will also access the main temple of the city, the Priory Church of Santa María de Carmona. An architectural jewel considered a "mini copy" of the Cathedral of Seville. If it is closed on the day of the visit, we will visit the Convent of Santa Clara, a picturesque gothic and mudejar active convent where to buy their pastries.
Plaza San Fernando
We will have time to have lunch in the historic center of Carmona and enjoy its monumentality. It's plenty of great options.
Alcazar de Arriba (Upper Fortress)
We will enjoy wonderful views from the viewpoint that is at the highest altitude of Carmona: the Alcázar of the King Peter I, today a Parador de Turismo, a state-run hotel.
