Your Itinerary

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

I will show you the animals at the AWCC, pointing out where many like to hide. We will see caribou, moose, muskox, reindeer, black bears, brown bears, porcupines, and wood bison. We may get to see the lynx, the foxes, and the coyotes. Sometimes they are hiding where you can't find them.

Explorer Glacier

We will be going into Portage Valley, home to four named glaciers, and we will stop to view Explorer Glacier and Byron Glacier, both of which are stunning hanging glaciers.

Girdwood Brewing Company

After an enjoyable day of seeing some amazing sights, let me treat you to a relaxing meal in Girdwood. We will sit down for a meal and enjoy talking about what we've seen.

Seward Highway

Enjoy our travel along the scenic Turnagain arm Highway, maybe we'll be fortunate to see beluga whales, Dall sheep, or mountain goats. Either way, we'll enjoy seeing the stunning mountains as they come right down to the sea.

Anchorage

On our way back, we'll stop at Potter's Marsh to enjoy seeing how a wetland provides habitat for a large variety of Alaskan animals.
