The driver Orlando was friendly and gave us great tips about where to eat. However, I think the tour itself can be avoided - there are Ubers easily available to and from Hanauma Bay, and rentals on the beach itself for $25 a person. For two people, this would work out more cost effective than having a tour, plus would give you more flex on arrival time and wouldn’t need you to be crammed into a van with strangers. No shade to the organizer, just a PSA for others who are considering this.

The bay was beautiful, However it gets too crowded.
There is Not need to rent umbrellas from the tour, they Don't work because the air blows them away and the park has umbrellas for rent that really wok.
This tour the only thing they do is take you to the entrance and leave you there. There equipment is not that good. I couldn't use it. (Buy one of those mask from Amazon $ 30 dollars) Not really worth the money you pay. Take Uber and it will be cheaper. This place is not that far from waikiki.

I enjoyed my morning here. Although at first I didn’t see much fish I had to go to the left side of the shore rather than snorkeling in the middle. The Bay is beautiful and pristine.

Staff at the gate could have been a little more friendly. Would have been nice if umbrellas were provided free at the beach instead of having to haul everything down there.

Loved the whole experience. This was our first time snorkeling and it surpassed our expectations. Orlando (guide) was the best !

If you are not staying in Waikiki, a free parking lot is available at 2805 Monsarrat Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815. Please park there and walk to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel for shuttle pick-up. Be on time, as the shuttle will not wait for late arrivals.
After booking, please contact Kaimana Tours to confirm your pick-up location and time. International travelers without a U.S. mobile number should provide their hotel room number. We will try to reach you 24 hours before your tour; if we cannot contact you, the shuttle may not be able to operate.
Please wait outside of the hotel your pick-up was assigned to. The driver has multiple stops, so you may not be the first or last pick-up of the day. Allow a 5–10 minute window for arrival, and if the driver hasn’t arrived by then, please give us a call.

What to expect
1. Easy Online Booking
Guests choose their date, enter their Waikiki pickup location, and receive an instant confirmation with all the key details for their Hanauma Bay shuttle.
2. Day-Before Reminder
The day before the tour, guests get a text reminder with optional rental items (wetsuits, flotation gear, GoPro mask, etc.) and simple instructions on what to bring, including the $25 Hanauma Bay entry fee in cash, and a reminder of 5:40 am pickup.
3. Early Morning Pickup (5:40 AM)
Our driver arrives right on time at the guest’s hotel or designated pickup point. Guests hop into a clean, comfortable shuttle--- no parking stress. Depending on the number you are on the pickup list he may be there a couple mins after that, so do not worry if he is not there exactly at 5:40 AM.
4. Quick 30-Minute Ride to Hanauma Bay
During the drive, guests receive helpful tips about the bay, snorkeling basics, and what to expect at the entrance. No food or drink is consumed inside the shuttle to keep it fresh for everyone.
5. Gear Setup & Free Snorkel Time
Guests receive their sanitized mask, snorkel, and fins, or any optional upgrades they pre-selected. We recommend trying on the flippers while you are still with the driver since he has extra sizing.
6. Smooth Arrival & Entry Guidance
We drop guests right at the entrance and guide them through the process: paying the $25 entrance fee at the ticket window and watching the mandatory 10-minute conservation video. Then it’s off to enjoy Hanauma Bay’s calm morning waters and vibrant marine life.
7. Designated Return Pickup
At the scheduled time, guests meet back at the same drop-off point. Driver will advise you what time to be ready at loading zone. Once the driver has loaded the gear and confirmed everyone is onboard, he will return to Waikiki. **Please make sure to bring back all the gears you were handed. (Subject to charge if items are missing)**
8. Stress-Free Drop-Off
Guests are dropped back at their hotel or pickup location, ending the tour relaxed, refreshed, and ready for the rest of their day in paradise.
