What to expect

We will hike a four mile loop of Temescal Canyon (860 ft elevation gain) in the Santa Monica Mountains—a coastal mountain range going from Santa Monica to Malibu. The trail is moderate-medium in the Chaparal forest. Some Redwood Sequoias at the beginning of the hike. On half way you will start to see a stunning view of the Ocean, Channel Islands National Park, Catarina island (in the clear days) and the San Gabriel Mountain.
