    The tour guide presented most material in a manner that spoke to the progression of art styles and drew attention to pertinent aspects keeping the attention of the children. We were a mixed age family group, the youngest being about 8. In my opinion the guide used extremely poor judgment by taking us to a painting of a vagina which he insisted was very important. My 12 year old was terribly uncomfortable and walked away. I expected her to be introduced by a professional professional who would instill knowledge and love of art. This choice, out of all the wonderful D’Orsay, was inappropriate and spurious.

    First, the headsets we were given did not work properly. You couldn’t hear properly for long periods of time. Everyone was holding their ear piece tightly to their ear. Second, the tour guide was overwhelmingly rude to me. About an hour into the tour she did a head count and found that my partner wasn’t with the group. I explained that she was afraid to take the escalator. She launched into a tirade in front of everyone and started yelling about how the cost to her to replace a lot headset was going to be 175 Euros. I told her the tour wasn’t over and we’d find my partner . She wouldn’t stop embarrassing me. This was a terrible experience and I should expect a refund .

    Tour guide Stephanie was very good. Knowledgeable. Humorous. We had a few in the group who caused issues but she handled them firmly but gracefully. We were let into museum right away. No waiting.

    Stephanie was wonderful as a tour guide. She took us on a historical tour of Impressionism. She was able to show us the progression through great paintings.

    The Orsay Museum is an amazing place to visit! It's incredible to think that this building was once a railway station, now beautifully transformed into a museum. The architecture alone is worth the visit, but the art collection inside is equally impressive. If you're planning to visit, make sure to rest well the day before, as there's a lot of walking involved. The museum is expansive, and you'll want to take your time exploring every corner.
