    Nuns valley was absolutely amazing ; clear day incredible views an absolute must if you can take the sheer drops and heights. Driver/ guide was excellent informative helpful good company - an excellent guide. Other stops were San Antonio for views over Funchal and Camara De Lobos a lovely little fishing village. We were disappointed with winery felt rushed by wine company two tastings with some explanations. More time here with more wines to taste would have been good. NB no criticism of driver/ guide at all excellent company informative chat and a great driver .

    A great 4 hour tour - two spectacular vistas, a taste of local liqueurs and biscuits, a very fun tobaggan ride culminating in a wine tasting. We had a nice driver (Melly) with a god sense of humor best of all no lineup for the tobaggan.

    Our tour guide was very friendly and thorough in explaining things and answering our questions along the way. He was accommodating to our schedule too. The sled ride down the hill from Monte was a lot of fun, and the visit to Nun’s valley was particularly interesting. The Madeira wine tasting was just OK - they didn’t really explain much and seemed to want us to hurry up.

    To experience Madeira this half-day tour is a good introduction to the island. Our driver was fabulous and very professional. We truly felt like we had an appreciation for the island culture through our guides eyes. We like the personal touch the private tours offer.

    Had my own driver on my own so got to do what i wanted on the tour . Only 4 hrs so packed a lot in . Guide was very informative. Loved the wine cellar at Henriques and Henriques . The queens favourite maderia wine Bought a bottle at 31.50 € but worth it Views from summit was stunning . Went to the oldest church on the island . Very pretty .

    Enjoy an splendid panoramic view over Funchal bay and the city area at this viewpoint, approximately at 335m above the sea level.

    Miradouro da Eira do Serrado

    After visit Pico dos Barcelos, we will take the old narrow road through the eucalyptus forest until Eira do Serrado. On this viewpoint (1094m.) you will have spectacular views overlooking the valley of Curral das Freiras surrounded by green, overwhelming mountains, from here you can also admire the tiny fields which grow fruit and vegetables, also sweet chestnut trees.

    Monte

    Monte is a village in the suburbs of Funchal, visit the enchanting gardens and the church, built in the 18th century. You also can take an exciting ride down to Funchal (until Livramento) on the famous wicker basket - toboggan -, a traditional transport originated in the early 19th century (this is optional and paid locally).
