We had a great time with Joe and Pat. Couldn’t have been a better introduction to the countryside around Melbourne. Not only did we see a lot, it was all tailored to our interests, either from information or from the sensitivity of our two guides to what we might like. A real added part of these tours is travelling with friendly, interested and intelligent people - like being shown round by friends. We couldn’t recommend it more.

This tour has been the highlight of our trip. We had the most amazing today with our guide Nico who not only provided (fun) facts about the area, but left us with a list of recommendations for places to explore on our own and to great enjoy food in Melbourne.

If you're wondering whether the 11-12 hours required to take this trip are worth it, just do it. This was one of the most unbelievable landscapes we've seen, and we've been to some of the world's most beautiful coastline drives. Pat was our driver and guide, and really let us drive on pace, interest, and mood of the tour. He was great to talk with and also relaxed if we just wanted to stare at the coast line. I would highly recommend requesting him if you're considering working with Localing. Pickup was perfectly on time in a nice Lexus sedan, and his driving and narration was excellent.

Our tour was excellent because of Marty - ask for him! My husband and I booked the all day Great Ocean Road tour on our honeymoon. Marty's local knowledge helped us avoid traffic and he adapted the day to fit in what we wanted to prioritize. On an all day excursion, the driver can really make or break your experience considering we're all in the car together for over 8 hours of driving! Marty was full of energy, good stories, local lore, and fun facts about the sites (12 apostles, construction of the road, rainforest stops, etc). He also left us with excellent Melbourne food/drink recs. Marty went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day on our honeymoon!

We were fortunate to have Marlene as our guide. The Great Ocean Road tour is a long day trip but Marlene made it really fun finding spots that we could stop and see Australian native birds, koalas, and kangaroos. She has an amazing ability to spot ability to spot koalas on the roadside, we saw more than 10 on our excursion! Our visits to local, authentic locations were just fantastic and added much to out tour. Marlene was wonderful and explained things very well and that made for a very special day.

Highly recommend this tour, it was incredible! Our guide, Marlene, made it extra special, ask for her! She really tailored the day to our interests in the environment, birds and animals specific to Australia. She was so knowledgeable about plants and animals and made the experience really fun! The views along the road were incredible, we enjoyed stopping at local places for lunch and cheese tasting and seeing all of the amazing birds. It was the highlight of our stay in Melbourne!
