The world-famous Observatory and speakeasy-inspired bar remain open with access straight up the tower in the historic Otis elevators. On the 35th floor, you'll be welcomed by stunning views and an exhilarating opportunity to take in 360-degrees of Seattle and Puget Sound from the open-air observation deck. There were 7 of us, a group of family & friends. All of us are "locals" but some are now living out of state. None of us had ever been in the Smith Tower! Our tour guide, Richard was super, taking the time to tell so much in such a short amount of time. We learned so much! We went mid-week, so it was not very busy. The speakeasy's cocktails and noshes were great and wow what a view! I encourage everyone to go, don't wait 50+ years like we did!

We booked a talking tour, it was just me and my partner and Richard was our guide. It was amazing, so informative and entertaining. We came for our dream trip from the UK and I would confidently say this was a highlight of our holiday. Drinks in the tower after were well worth it. Would definitely do again if we find ourselves back in Seattle.

Highly recommend that you spend a little extra and take the guided tour. You will learn some interesting Seattle history.

Lovely experience. Tower is in surroundings not befitting to its elegance but do go. Lovely building in and out. Lift operator, loves his job. He is obviously trying to tell you as much as possible in the ride up, but almost impossible to understand him as speaking too fast, bless him. A few exhibits of the bygone era before the lift, which in itself is beautiful. The bar/restaurant at the top is worth seeing in its own right, let alone the view which is lovely- over the bay. We stayed for a drink and light meal. Great service and food. No wait for a table when we went late afternoon.

I've lived in Seattle for 6 years and had never been there. A week ago I accompanied my friend on a tour of the Smith Tower and we had a lot of fun. The history of the place was interesting but the guide spoke at 1000 words per second, it was difficult to follow the story while we enjoyed the setting and the tour. The staff was very nice and treated us very well. I think it was a very pleasant activity and I would repeat the experience again.

Good view of the downtown Seattle skyline. An interesting part of Seattle history. I went on this tour years ago. While some things haven't changed. Some new buildings have been added since the last time that I visited Smith Tower.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We wanted to do the Talking Tower tour but the guide wasn’t available at first, so we had plenty of time to look round at all the fabulous displays and artefacts and have coffee beforehand. We then had a fascinating tour where our knowledgeable guide (for just the two of us) brought the stories of the people and building to life. Can’t recommend a visit to this incredible place highly enough!

The hours on the ticket were incorrect. We went at 8pm thinking the Tower closed at 10pm. Upon arrival we were informed the hours on the website were incorrect.
