Your Itinerary

Park and National Palace of Pena

This is one of the most visited palaces. Located on top of the hill and with amazing views over the region and the Moorish castle, this 19th-century palace has a lot to explore. See how the kings and queens lived in its interior and visit the exuberant gardens. This palace may be overcrowded so that it can be difficult to visit the interior, depending on the group's decision, you can visit another palace instead.

Admission Not Included

Castelo dos Mouros

(Pass by)

The Moorish Castle is a fortress on top of a hill with amazing views over the region and the Pena Palace. It's a nice place but we would recommend to see the palaces instead.

Sintra National Palace

(Pass by)

One of the oldest palaces is located right in the historical center of Sintra. Depending on the group's decision about which monuments to visit you can either visit Quinta da Regaleira, Pena Palace or the historical center and its National Palace of Sintra.

Quinta da Regaleira

Quinta da Regaleira is a nice palace and garden complex with many symbols related to the Maçonary and the Templar orders. Get lost in its Iniciatic Well and the tunnels of this esoteric place. Depending on the group's decision about which monuments to visit you can either visit this palace or the historical center and the National Palace of Sintra.

Admission Not Included

Tivoli Palácio de Seteais

(Pass by)

A nice palace which is now a 5 Star hotel with a nice view of the Pena Palace and the Sintra region.

Parque e Palacio de Monserrate

(Pass by)

A beautiful neo-Arabic palace with a luxurious botanical garden. It's located about 3 Kms away from the center, being a good alternative when all the monuments in the center are crowded.

Praia das Azenhas do Mar

A cute town built on the cliffs right above the Atlantic Ocean.

Praia Grande

(Pass by)

We will pass Praia das Maças, Praia Pequena and Praia Grande beaches on our way.

Praia da Adraga

This is one of the most beautiful beaches of Sintra and it has an almost secret viewpoint only accessible by an off-road where we can take full advantage of our 4x4 vehicle and let the adventure begin. This is one of the most breathtaking views, amazing cliffs, the beautiful ocean, and the Roca Cape in the distance.

Cabo da Roca

This is the most western point of continental Europe, with amazing landscapes over land and sea. It's a very touristic area, that is why we prefer the previous secret spot.

Boca do Inferno

(Pass by)

This is an interesting cliff formation where the sea enters through a hole - the hell's mouth. Stop depends of available time and parking.

Guincho Beach

(Pass by)

A beautiful beach with views over the Natural Park of Sintra and Cascais.

Centro Historico de Cascais

Cascais is a nice beach town with lovely streets and shops to wander around or to go for a swim. Enjoy Cascais as long as you wish because you can return to Lisbon from here by train (same ticket can be used on this route).

Leo is a wonderful tour guide. Great way to see Sintra from someone who is from there. Get to see sights from the off road vehicle that you couldn’t from a normal tour. We stopped for an amazing local traditional lunch .. saw beautiful coastlines. Highly recommend

Toni_M

Leo is such an amazing historian and guide. You feel as though you are with your brother or friend. If you have a specific place on the way that you would like to visit, whether a church or specific cafe’ he will drop by so you can take a picture or a bite. Very easy going and passionate about his tour. Great trip! Thank you Leo

Kelly_E

Leo was a great host and made our trip to Sintra as easy as possible. As a native of Sintra he had amazing historical and personal stories to share that made the experience so much more than just a tour. Above all, the views we got to see via 4x4 access was beyond expectations. Just hang on during the bumpy parts…

We did not know what to expect when going to Sintra. When we met Leo outside of a train station, we didn’t expect for him to change our lives. You will not meet another person who knows the area better than Leo. Listen to this man and go where he says and I promise you won’t have any regrets. He took us to the best view we have ever seen and many other incredible spots we were not expecting. He even gave us great food recommendations. By the end of the tour we had so many great memories we would have not experienced on any other tour. Book this tour right now.

Leo is your best friend in Sintra! Where to park, what to eat, how to buy tickets, how to get there, all of the secret beaches, hidden gems, the best of the best --- Leo is in the know! If you don't want to be one of the herd of tourists doing the same thing, but still want to experience the best of what Sintra and the surrounding area has to offer--- it is worth your time and what that time costs you to book a tour. You will not regret it! He definitely made our day worth it 10/10 --- would recommend.

Leo our guide was great. Took us to all the promised sites. Some of them were out of the way and not crowded which we liked. We would suggest this tour.

Bea_S

Our tour guide Leo was an incredible person and treated us like family. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited but didn’t sound like it was a rehearsed thing. It was like being shown around by an old friend. We highly recommend Leo if you are looking for an amazing experience. If Leo was a soccer player instead of a tour guide he would be a Ronaldo😉

Leo was an amazing tourguide! He took us to all these beautiful places near Sintra and told us a lot about the area. He is an easygoing person that you feel comfortable with straight away. I highly recommend this tour!

Laurel_T

Very accommodating and friendly. Loved every minute. We were able to go places and see things off the ordinary tourist paths. Super fun! Would love to do it again!

Leo is a Sintra-native who is knowledgeable about everything that’s going around in town and in the region. He’s energetic and full of suggestions, ideas and recommendations. Our group consisted of 7 people of multiple nationalities, and Leo effortlessly switched between Spanish and English. He also speaks French. To start, our group was treated to a snack and coffee in a family-owned café. We returned to the same café for lunch and had delicious local specialties. After lunch, Leo took us to many beautiful spots along the Western coast of Portugal. He was very informative and patient as our group was taking photos. We would absolutely recommend Leo if you are looking for a day of adventure outside of Lisbon.
