Your Itinerary

Piazzale Michelangelo

Then we will proceed along the route that leads to the famous terrace of Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can stop to enjoy the unforgettable panorama that encompasses the entire city. Climbing once again, you can admire the magnificent Romanesque basilica of San Miniato al Monte.

Basilica San Miniato al Monte

San Miniato is one of the most beautiful Basilicas in Florence, standing atop one of the highest points in the city, from where to enjoy a breathtaking view on the whole Town.

Villa Pian dei Giullari

It is a small and charming village built along the road that went to Impruneta, which has remained practically unchanged over time. The area is very rich in villas and perhaps in one of these, Villa Il Teatro, there was the theater, where at least since the fourteenth century the companies of jesters, mimes and comedians passing through the city performed.

INAF Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory

Arcetri (Arcètri) is a hilly area south of the center of Florence, where there are numerous historic buildings, such as the house of the confinement of Galileo Galilei (villa Il Gioiello), the church of San Leonardo in Arcetri, the convent of San Matteo , the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory and the villa where Francesco Guicciardini lived.

Carolina was a wonderful and personable guide! She spent time chatting with everyone on the tour. She shared both local knowledge of the area and of the specific sites we toured.

I loved my first bike tour so much that I booked a second tour later in the week with additional family members. This was by far our favorite thing we did in Florence. Guides were fantastic and it was so nice to have this time away from the crowded city center enjoying gorgeous views by bike.

My wife and I loved this bike tour, it’s the best way to view Florence and our guide was amazing. The e bikes made it very easy to get through the tour.

A delightful husband and wife from Florence own this e-bike business, Florent which provides e-bike tours and e-bike rentals. The tour is a couple of hours and is easy plus so beautiful. The route is along the Arno River to Michelangelo Pizzale with stunning views of Florence and then on to Acetri where Galileo was exiled. You ride through the Tuscan hills a short distance outside Florence. It makes for a joyful afternoon.

Gabriel was a terrific guide and was very entertaining and friendly. An electric bike ride up the Florintine hills to see the city below and rode thru the hills with olive groves. Views of Florence were spectacular. Informatve discussions about the history of Florence and learned something about the making of olive oil. It was a fun experience and highly recommended!

It was the best part of our trip. Definitely do this! It was a easy and beautiful ride. Our guide was kind and fun.

The trip got us to parts of Florence we could never make it took foot. Our guide was interesting and fun. My active teenagers loved the activity. Being on an electric bike was an active, engaging way to see Florence. But it’s also very manageable. Not “all work” like riding a regular bike!! Mostly fun, outdoor, beauty. Downside that we are regular cyclists and placed with a novice bike family. So had to go slower than my family would enjoy. Recommend private tour for a cycling or active family.

Great way to see the Tuscany countryside without planning or driving. Enjoyed the city and cathedral tour of Siena and free time in San Gimignano especially. Tour guide provided lots of great detailed information that helped us better understand the Italian history and culture. He was quite attentive and ensured the group was well cared for.
