Excellent 9 hour trip. Walked up to craters. Guide explained types of rock and how Etna erupts. Then we had a tasting of spices, jams, wine and liqueurs. Went to a cave that spent over a hour in Taormini witch is very picturesque. Great value tour.

It was a great way to spend the day. Our guide, Simone, was so knowledgeable and had every answer to even our most niche geological inquiries. So many options once you reach Mt. Etna, depending on your personality style. Would you rather cycle up the summit ? Go crazy on some ATVs on volcanic ash ? Or simply take it easy with a cable-car ride to the top ? One of the best features, however, was the sampling of Sicilian local foods—these people really known how to work a pistachio! Taormina was a nice, relaxing way to end the day. Quaint, tourist town with a plethora of bars and restaurants where you can try an icy Granita—try the pistachio one while overlooking the Roman Theatre !!!!

Going up Etna a day after the eruption. The tasting and the lava cave were interesting and Taormina is very pretty.

Amazing experience. Visiting Etna is something very unique (and was definitely very safe). The wine tasting was a very nice addition to the schedule and much needed after the shocking visit to Etna. The day closed with a short visit to a nice village with great views. This experience would not have been so great and successful if it hasn't been for our guide. Grazie mille Claudio!!!
