We loved the tour guide as he was a Parisian convert from brooklyn NY. Home to us. An unusual happen stance. Very knowledgeable of life in past and present Marais !! Very generous with stories and secrets of the Marais. Thank you for your time ! This is a Viator comment (not tour guide) that the agent I booked with on the phone was not clear it was considered a PRIVATE tour and not group. My error not to be careful too and was only aware less than 24 hours to change to group tour due to price point and not an issue with the tour guide who we enjoyed immensely. I need to be more careful in booking is lesson learned and visitor needs to be transparent in conversation with multiple bookings can be confusing. I escaped this issue and hope for a favorable response from visitor as I am a strong consistent customer.

My small group spent a few hours walking the Marais section of Paris. Richard took us to many off the beaten track boutique shops - mostly chocolates and sweets. He is truly a "local" and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We saw a part of Paris we most likely would not have done on our own. Even if we did, we would have missed his personal touch and insight. We highly recommend Richard.

Every time I come to Paris, I arrange to take a tour with Richard. He is the absolute best and our time together is always the highlight of my trip.
This tour was no exception. On this tour, I brought my teenage daughter with me. We met Richard by the Louvre, we took the metro to the Marais, and Richard showed us all of the small cheese and fruit markets, and little independently owned shops. He detailed the architecte and history of the buildings as we walked. We then spent some time relaxing and in the gorgeous Place des Vosges while Richard talked to us about French history. We learned so much and it was so entertaining. We explored the Marais’ boutiques and shops and had a blast discovering all of the hidden nooks and crannies that Richard knows like the back of his hand. Richard really does bring such vibrancy into each tour. He has an incredible energy, and he kept my teenage daughter entertained, which is not always an easy feat. In fact, she said that our time with Richard were her best hours in Paris! As always, Richard is a rockstar and our time with him was both educational, entertaining, and so much fun! I can’t wait to return to Paris and have another tour with Richard —we already have our day planned and I am counting the weeks until we meet again. Thank you Richard as always!
