I am embarking on a solo journey to the Kumano Kodo in Japan from July 5th to July 17th, 2025. This 13-day adventure will offer me the chance to immerse myself in Japan's ancient spiritual history, walking the same pilgrimage routes that have been traveled for over a thousand years. As a lover of history and outdoor activities, this trek through the lush forests and mountains is the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and reflect. I chose to stay at Jokiin in Koya, as it provides a peaceful retreat with comfortable accommodations that are ideal for solo travelers. The guest house's proximity to local attractions also allows me to explore the rich cultural heritage of the area at my leisure.
