He met Lena, a German art history student, during a study abroad program. Their shared love for culture and travel sparked a romance that eventually led them to Berlin. While he misses the warmth of Hawaii, he's found a new home in Berlin, working as a cultural consultant and freelance translator, helping to bridge the gap between cultures.
