Immersing ourselves in history, we explored ancient Roman ruins and a formidable fortress, all while savoring the region's delightful cuisine. It felt like stepping back in time, each stone whispering tales of centuries past.

Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Ristorante Bistro’ Maison Bandí in Aosta. The aroma of freshly baked bread and strong Italian coffee filled the air, setting the perfect tone for a day of exploration. Hans-Peter and I shared a selection of local cheeses and cured meats, fueling up for our historical journey. I must admit, navigating the electronic menu in multiple languages was quite clever. With our appetites satisfied, we set out to explore the Roman Walls of Aosta.
