My day began with a hearty breakfast at the Gibran Museum cafeteria. Though simple, the meal of fresh bread, local cheese, and strong Lebanese coffee was the perfect start to a day of exploration. The cafeteria itself is unpretentious, but the thought of being surrounded by the spirit of Gibran Khalil Gibran, even as I sipped my coffee, was inspiring. After breakfast, I decided to revisit the museum briefly to re-immerse myself in Gibran's art and writings. His words about Lebanon always stir something deep within me, reminding me of the resilience and beauty of this land.

With a sense of purpose, I set out towards the Village of Hawqa. The drive itself was a scenic delight, the road winding through valleys and offering glimpses of traditional Lebanese life. As I approached Hawqa, I was immediately struck by its serene beauty. The village, nestled in the Qozhaya valley, exuded a sense of timelessness, with its stone houses and tranquil atmosphere. I parked my car and decided to explore on foot, eager to soak in the local culture. Wandering through the narrow streets, I felt a world away from the busier tourist spots.
