Today was a day of contrasts, soaring to volcanic heights and plunging into the refreshing depths of a crater lake. Jean-Pierre and I embraced the natural beauty of Auvergne, creating memories that I know we will cherish for years to come. It was a day filled with breathtaking views, tranquil moments, and the simple joy of being together in this stunning landscape.

Our day began with a delightful breakfast at La Ferme de Chadet. The reviews I had read mentioned the charming, renovated setting that blends modern comforts with traditional charm, and they were spot on. The drive there was lovely, the morning sun casting long shadows across the rolling hills. We savored the fresh pastries and strong coffee, fueling up for a day of exploration.
