Today was a beautiful blend of art, nature, and sustainable finds here in Gothenburg. It’s amazing how a city can offer such diverse experiences within a single day, catering to both the aesthetically inclined and the environmentally conscious. I'm always on the lookout for places that offer a bit of both, and Gothenburg has certainly delivered.

Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Scandic Goteborg Central. Fuelled up and ready to explore, our first stop was The Garden Society, a green oasis right in the heart of the city. It was a pleasant morning stroll with Greta and Marko. The fresh air and blooming flowers were a welcome change from the urban landscape. Marko was particularly fascinated by the Palm House, a glasshouse filled with exotic plants that transported us to a different world. For me, having grown up surrounded by the natural beauty of Croatia, parks like these are a reminder of the importance of preserving green spaces in our cities. The orderly layout of the garden and the meticulous care given to each plant spoke volumes about the Swedes' appreciation for nature and their commitment to maintaining it.

Marko, of course, was happy with his köttbullar (meatballs). It’s always a pleasure to try local dishes and experience the culinary traditions of a new place. The service was friendly and efficient, making our lunch a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I've always been a fan of second-hand clothing, both for its environmental benefits and for the unique finds you can discover. Beyond Retro didn't disappoint. The store was packed with retro clothing from various decades, and we spent a happy hour browsing the racks. Greta found a beautiful vintage dress, while Marko was thrilled with a retro t-shirt featuring a cartoon character he loves. I picked up a stylish jacket that I'm sure will become a staple in my wardrobe. It's great to see how vintage shopping is becoming more popular as people become more aware of the environmental impact of fast fashion.

Tomorrow, we're planning to visit Aeroseum and Oscar II Fort. Aeroseum sounds particularly interesting, an underground aircraft museum! I think Marko will especially enjoy that. It's located a bit outside the city center, so we'll need to figure out the public transport. Greta is already looking into the details. I'm also curious about Oscar II Fort, a historical fortress with stunning views of the archipelago. It should be another day filled with exploration and discovery.
