Today was nothing short of magical as Katarína and I ventured into the heart of Slovak Paradise to explore the famed White Creek. Having spent my childhood in Slovakia, I always cherished stories of this park, but experiencing it firsthand with my wife was beyond anything I could have imagined. Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Cafe & Bufet u Orla. The aroma of fresh pastries and strong coffee filled the air, setting the perfect tone for our hike. Fueled up and ready, we made a quick stop at Potraviny Môj Obchod Mlynky to grab some snacks for the trail. It’s always a good idea to have some *horalky* and *kofola* on hand – a little taste of home to keep us going.

As we started our trek towards White Creek, the crisp morning air invigorated us. The trail wound through lush forests, the sunlight filtering through the canopy creating an ethereal glow. The sounds of nature enveloped us – birds singing their morning melodies, the rustling of leaves underfoot, and the distant murmur of the creek. It felt like stepping into a fairytale. After lunch, we continued our hike, exploring more of the White Creek valley. We discovered hidden caves, moss-covered rocks, and an abundance of plant life. I ordered *bryndzové halušky*, a traditional potato dumpling dish with sheep cheese, while Katarína opted for *kapustnica*, a flavorful sauerkraut soup. We savored every bite, relishing the warmth and comfort of the meal.

We shared stories and laughed about our experiences, already looking forward to the next day's adventure at Prielom Hornádu. As we walked back to our campsite under the starlit sky, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I was grateful for the opportunity to share this beautiful place with my wife, for the memories we had created, and for the simple joys of life.

Tomorrow, we plan to explore Prielom Hornádu, another gem within Slovak Paradise. I’ve heard tales of its stunning river gorge and unique hiking trails, and I’m eager to experience it firsthand. In the evening, we plan to dine at Reštaurácia Rumanka, and perhaps enjoy a drink at Hostinec Čarda before calling it a night. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings, but for now, I’m content to rest and recharge, dreaming of the adventures yet to come.
