Today was a day of contrasts, a beautiful blend of panoramic views and immersive underwater exploration. Fernando de Noronha continues to surprise and delight us, revealing its hidden gems one experience at a time. It’s amazing how this small island packs so much natural beauty into a single day.

Our morning started bright and early with a hearty breakfast at Restaurante do Jacaré. Lena, Sofia, and I enjoyed a traditional Brazilian breakfast, fueling up for the day ahead. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food was simple but delicious, a perfect start to our adventures. The restaurant is near Reduto de Santana de Fernando de Noronha and has a rustic environment with good food.

After breakfast, we headed to Mirante VOR. The drive itself was scenic, with glimpses of the island's lush landscapes. Reaching the viewpoint, we were greeted by a breathtaking panorama. The vast expanse of the ocean met the dramatic coastline, creating a view that stretched as far as the eye could see. Sofia was particularly excited, pointing out the different shades of blue in the water and the various rock formations along the shore. It was a perfect spot for some family photos, capturing the beauty of Noronha and our shared joy in experiencing it together. Next on our itinerary was Ressureta - Ponto de Mergulho. As a certified diver, I was eager to explore the underwater world of Fernando de Noronha, and Ressureta is known for its calm waters and diverse marine life. Lena decided to stay on shore with Sofia, who was content building sandcastles and collecting seashells. Donning my gear, I plunged into the crystal-clear waters. Immediately, I was surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors. Schools of tropical fish darted around vibrant coral formations. I spotted a couple of sea turtles gliding gracefully through the water, and even a small shark resting peacefully on the seabed. The visibility was incredible, allowing me to fully appreciate the beauty and biodiversity of this underwater paradise. Ressureta is an ideal destination for divers seeking tranquility and contact with a rich biodiversity.

Emerging from the dive, I felt invigorated and deeply connected to nature. Sharing my experience with Lena and Sofia, I could see their excitement and curiosity. Perhaps Sofia will be ready to try snorkeling tomorrow! We spent some more time on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It’s moments like these that make our family eco-adventure so special, creating lasting memories and strengthening our bond with each other and with the natural world. The waters are crystal clear with colorful fish, sea turtles, and small sharks.

For lunch, we chose Restaurante Point da Cacimba. It was a delightful experience. The restaurant uses fresh, local ingredients to create an explosion of authentic flavors. We savored fresh seafood and traditional Brazilian dishes while enjoying the ocean view. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a family meal. The prices are reasonable for the island.

In the afternoon, we decided to do a bit of shopping at Loja Noronhando. I was hoping to find a new hat, as I had forgotten my insect repellent this morning, and the sun was more intense than I had anticipated. The shop had a variety of souvenirs and local crafts. Lena found a beautiful bracelet made from recycled materials, a perfect reminder of our eco-conscious trip. Sofia picked out a small, colorful fish toy, which she promptly named Nemo. While I didn’t find a hat, we did find a few other trinkets to remind us of our time here, and I picked up some insect repellent, which I should have remembered to pack!

As evening approached, we made our way to Flamboyant Rock Restaurant F.Noronha. This restaurant, located in the center of Vila dos Remédios, offers a complete menu of traditional dishes. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere with rock music playing in the background. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of grilled fish and local specialties, savoring the flavors of Noronha as the sun began to set. The Flamboyant Rock Restaurant offers a delightful lunch experience with its affordable and delicious chicken sandwich.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we’re excited to explore Sueste Beach and Bosque da baía do sueste. We plan to have breakfast at Aguida Bistrô, lunch at Restaurante Abençoado, and dinner at Restaurante AcquaMarine. And perhaps, after a day of exploring, we'll unwind at Dog Bar. It’s hard to believe we’re already on day three of our trip. Time really does fly when you’re having fun and experiencing new things as a family. Each day brings new adventures and deeper appreciation for the natural beauty of this incredible island.

Back at Pousada Alto da Floresta, we relaxed on our balcony, listening to the sounds of the rainforest and reflecting on the day’s adventures. Sofia was already fast asleep, dreaming of colorful fish and sandy beaches. Lena and I shared a quiet moment, grateful for the opportunity to experience this incredible journey together. As we prepare for another day of exploration, we feel a sense of anticipation and excitement for what tomorrow will bring. Noronha has a way of captivating your heart and leaving you wanting more.
