Travel Tips

  • Learn a few basic phrases in the local language. Even just knowing how to say 'hello,' 'thank you,' and 'excuse me' can go a long way.

  • Always schedule a daytime arrival in a new destination. Everything seems scarier and more stressful in the dark.

  • Prioritize accommodation in busier, safer areas, especially when traveling solo.

  • Embrace the unexpected. Some of the best travel experiences come from spontaneous detours and unplanned adventures.

  • Stay connected but be present. A good data plan is essential for navigation and research, but don't forget to look up and experience the world around you.

This Explorers Travel Highlights

  • My Travel Highlight

One of my most memorable travel experiences was exploring the ancient ruins of Rome. Walking through the Colosseum and Roman Forum, I felt transported back in time, imagining the lives of the people who once walked those same streets. It was a powerful connection to history that I'll never forget.

  • Favourite Destination

Berlin, without a doubt. Moving here has been the best decision I've ever made. The city's blend of history, culture, and cutting-edge technology is endlessly fascinating. There's always something new to discover, whether it's a hidden museum, a vibrant street art scene, or a tech meetup.

  • Best Hotel

I had an amazing stay at the Parador 44 in Cardiff. It's a small boutique hotel with a Spanish vibe, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The rooftop terrace was the perfect place to relax with a book and a glass of wine after a long day of exploring.

  • My Adventurous Destination

Backpacking through Southeast Asia was definitely my most adventurous trip. From navigating bustling markets in Bangkok to trekking through the jungles of Vietnam, every day was a new challenge and a chance to push my boundaries.

  • My Food Destination

Palermo, Sicily. The street food scene is incredible, with vendors selling everything from arancini to sfincione on every corner. The fresh seafood and pasta dishes are also amazing. It's a foodie paradise.
