Leaving the cozy comforts of our accommodation, Greta and I set out to experience firsthand why this place is so revered. From the challenging treks to the delightful local cuisine, every moment was a testament to the canyon's allure.

The morning started with a hearty breakfast at RestoBar international in Chivay. Fuelling up with a mix of local and international fare was essential, knowing we had a day of trekking ahead. The crisp morning air hinted at the adventures to come, and I made sure to charge my camera, mindful of almost forgetting my portable solar charger – a lesson learned from our pre-trip packing mishaps. Greta, ever the planner, double-checked our water bottles and snack supply. It's these small details that make our travels together so seamless. It was a perfect opportunity to relax and soak in the panoramic views of the canyon. We'll also be stopping by Artesanias Intichay to pick up some more souvenirs, perhaps a traditional Peruvian hat for Greta. I'm looking forward to another day of adventure and discovery in this extraordinary corner of the world.
