Today was a day of wandering, of losing ourselves in the vibrant culture and captivating beauty that Chefchaouen so generously offers. It's amazing how each day here brings new discoveries and deeper connections to this enchanting place. Our morning began with a hearty breakfast at Assaada. Liam and I shared a traditional Moroccan breakfast, complete with mint tea, of course! The rooftop terrace offered a stunning view of the town slowly waking up. It was the perfect way to fuel up before diving into our day of exploration.

First on our list was Jamaa, known as The White Mosque of the Souk. The walk there was an experience in itself, navigating the maze-like streets, each corner revealing a new shade of blue. The mosque, with its stark white facade, stood out against the blue backdrop. Although non-Muslims can’t enter, the serenity of the surrounding area was palpable. We took some time to appreciate the architecture and the peaceful atmosphere.

Next, we ventured to the Archeological Museum, hoping to delve deeper into the history of this fascinating region. Located in the Kasbah, the museum itself is a beautiful structure. Inside, we discovered a collection of artifacts that told the story of Chefchaouen and the surrounding area, from ancient tools to traditional clothing. Our destination was Dream Katcher Chefchaouen, a store I'd read about that sells handmade dreamcatchers and other local crafts. As a freelance graphic designer, I always appreciate the artistry and skill that goes into creating unique, handcrafted items. The store was a treasure trove of colorful dreamcatchers, each one a unique work of art. I couldn't resist buying a small one as a souvenir, a reminder of our time in this magical town. Liam even found a small leather journal he liked.

As the day drew to a close, we made our way to Hôtel restaurant La fuente for dinner. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, with soft lighting and traditional Moroccan decor. We decided to try some of their seafood dishes, which were fresh and delicious. The perfect end to a perfect day.

I opted for a lamb tagine, while Liam went for the couscous. The flavors were rich and authentic, a true taste of Morocco. After lunch, we strolled through the medina, eventually finding ourselves at Dream Katcher Chefchaouen. The shop was filled with colorful, handcrafted dreamcatchers, each one unique. I ended up buying a small one as a keepsake, and Liam found a beautiful leather-bound journal.

For dinner, we chose Hôtel restaurant La fuente, a charming spot with a cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the service was warm and welcoming.
