After months of anticipation, I've finally arrived in Florence! The journey from Toronto was smooth, and the taxi ride to Corte Calzaiuoli Elegant Suites offered a tantalizing glimpse of this historic city. The air is filled with a unique blend of excitement and old-world charm. I'm here with my friends, and we're all eager to dive into the heart of the Renaissance. I’m ready to capture every moment with my camera, though I already regret forgetting my umbrella – the April showers might catch us off guard! But forgetting my sunglasses? That was just careless. Let the Florentine adventure begin!

Our first stop was Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of Florence. Stepping into the piazza was like walking onto a movie set. The grandeur of the Palazzo Vecchio loomed large, and the surrounding sculptures seemed to whisper tales of a bygone era.
